Connect Logopedie joins Fysiogroep Nederland for national growth

HC Partners, an investor in sustainable healthcare innovation, proudly announces the acquisition of Connect Logopedie by Fysiogroep Nederland (FGN). This strategic step marks a significant expansion of FGN’s primary care platform and underscores its ambition to make high-quality, accessible care available nationwide.

With a proven track record in Overijssel, Connect Logopedie has become a regional leader in speech therapy. Its innovative model brings care directly to clients, with 40 speech therapists delivering services at 86 schools and childcare centers. By offering permanent employment contracts and supporting professionals with an in-house training institute, Connect addresses challenges such as workforce shortages and increasing demand for care.

A shared vision for healthcare innovation

The collaboration with FGN allows Connect Logopedie to scale its successful approach nationally. Gerard Elshof, founder of Connect, will remain actively involved with the organization and will co-own the newly established Speech Therapy Group Netherlands (LGN). “After 15 years of regional growth, this is the right moment to expand our care model. Together with FGN and HC Partners, we can realize our vision of accessible, high-quality care on a national level,” says Elshof.

Supported by HC Partners, FGN has built a strong position as a primary care platform in recent years, offering an integrated approach to paramedical care. The acquisition of Connect Logopedie fits seamlessly into FGN’s broader buy-and-build strategy, focused on professionalization, scaling, and innovation.

Addressing challenges in healthcare

The Dutch speech therapy market is fragmented and faces long waiting lists. The Integrated Healthcare Agreement (IZA) emphasizes the importance of regional collaboration and shifting care from secondary to primary settings. Connect’s unique care model responds to these challenges by bringing care directly to clients, reducing travel time and school absenteeism while improving accessibility.
